چکیده
Abstract As part of the semi-arid region, Ghana falls within West African Sahel region with high climatic variability and severe droughts, especially in Northern parts. The is characterized as one driest Ghana. It experiences rainy season a year, though agriculture main economic activities. Nanton district consists farming communities. However, there limited availability water for crop watering during dry groundwater could become possible source supply. This research, therefore, seeks to provide information on irrigation quality status district. Information from this research also aims assist policymakers take right decisions sustainable study area. Irrigation indexes combination USSL diagram were adopted methods analyses research. Results generally suggest that area suitable purposes, except few places Further studies should be conducted precisely state used drinking domestic purposes. emphasize identifying factors controlling chemistry

This study was conducted to evaluate factors regulating groundwater quality in an area with agriculture as main use. Under this study twelve groundwater samples have been collected from Padra taluka, Dabhoi taluka and Savli taluka of Vadodara district. Groundwater samples were chemically analyzed for major physicochemical parameter in order to understand the different geochemical processes affe...

Farmers in the Indus Basin, Pakistan have generally switched to groundwater for additional water supplies due to the irregular supply of irrigation water; currently over 50% of the agricultural land in the basin is at least partially irrigated by tubewells. These wells pump fresh groundwater, which essentially is the result of massive leakage from irrigation canals into the originally saltwater...

The study investigated the physico-chemical and bacteriological qualities of water from wells sited in close proximity to waste management systems in the Ahanta West District. GPS was used to determine the geographical location of wells and waste management system. The physic-chemical and bacteriological parameter of samples of water taken from these wells were determined at the laboratoryand c...
